Emusic Launches Online Magazine

Download subscription service eMusic is launching eMusic Magazine with some heavy hitting rock writers exploring eMusic’s huge collection of independently releases music.

Emusic_5The online magazine will be updated daily and includes such features as "Review of the Day"; "Spotlight" feature articles penned by genre specialists; and eMusic Dozens, catalogues of the 12 most essential albums across many different artists and genres with accompanying essays from one of more than 100 top rock journalists.

For the launch of eMusic Magazine, best-selling author and eMusic editor-in-chief Michael Azerrad has expanded his editorial team to include MTV News’ Kurt Loder, Harvey Pekar, Neal Pollack and Thurston Moore. They join eMusic’s existing roster of well known rock critics, editors and writers like Simon Reynolds, Pulitzer Prize winner Justin Davidson, former New York Times pop critic Ann Powers, and founding fathers of rock criticism John Morthland and Lenny Kaye.of nearly one million songs. Subscribers can now read a favorable review of an artist they’ve never heard of before then instantly hear it. "eMusic has a vast and incredible catalogue so deep and captivating that it requires a world-class team of music experts to guide you through it," said David Pakman, president and CEO of eMusic.

With the launch of eMusic Magazine, eMusic’s aim is to offer a way to navigate their music collection.
