You're doing the time zone calculation backwards. 9 pm UK time is 4 PM USA Eastern time, 1 PM Pacific. (I listen to lots of British radio and deal with this all the time.)



How in the world could Sandi Thom afford to do a live broadcast/stream to such a large audience? In the US the server hosting charges would be extremely high.

Maybe she pre-recorded her gigs and uploaded them for folks to watch at a specified time?

Or maybe folks in the UK get a great deal on the cost of live broadcasting/streaming?
