Windows Media, iTunes and Limewire Remain Music Apps Of Choice

Windows Media Player hit a global installation level of 67.5%
in October up from 64.1% a year ago and iTunes was on 26.3% of desktops up from 19.7% last year. Among subscription services Rhapsody jumped 7.7% from 2.1% a year ago. Napster installations remained flat while MTV Urge has shown a noticeable gain since its May debut. Among P2P’s Limewire remains dominant in the increasingly decentralized file-sharing sector.
