UPDATED: According to various sources, MTV is ending its Microsoft parternership URGE and relaunching the download
store as part of a new intiative with RealNetwork's Rhapsody. Details are expect in a news conference at 11AM EDT on Tuesday and we'll have more details then.
URGE never gained much traction despite an aggressive ad campaign and seemed doomed after the launch of Microsoft's own Zune service and player.
MTV has recently been very aggressive in the digital space and this move seems part of that larger push.
UPDATE: Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone will supply mobile distribution MTV/Rhapsody's content.
