Asia 40% Of Global Music Market By 2011

  • By 2011, the Asia Pacific region will represent 33% of the global music market, and 40% of global digital revenues.
  • The Asia Pacific music market will grow from 9 billion dollars US to 10 billion dollars by 2011
  • Physical sales will decline at a 9% compound annual rate
  • Digital music will grow at 30%
  • Asia constitutes 60% of the world's mobile music market. That's 3 times the size of the US with Japan, China and S. Korea cornering 95% of the Asian market.
