Midem Update: I’m In Cannes, Meetup Moving
I just arrived in Cannes for MidemNet and Midem via an overnight flight from Boston Gotta say that Air France's food and service beats the US carriers. Little to report yet. Almost no one gets into to town until tomorrow and the action does not officially start until Saturday. Did hear a few unconfirmed rumblings that the organizers are worried that: a struggling music business plus soft global economy might equal lower attendance.
The Hypebot / TopSpin Media meetup on Saturday night is moving. I'll let Topspn's Ian Rogers' explain:

Any hook-up foreseen this year? Or is it too soon? I can promote it through Cannes or Bust if that helps.
