Motel 6 Decides To Learn The Bands & Hotel Rooms Lesson The Hard Way

Motel 6 I can't find many details, but budget U.S. budget hotel chain Motel 6 has gotten together with music publisher Primary Wave Music for "Rock Your Self To Sleep", a promotion that gives bands free hotel rooms on the road.  So far, up and comers Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers, Hit the Lights and Sparks the Rescue have signed up. Bono, for all his proletariat posing, probably won't take Motel 6 up on their offer, preferring nightly digs with door men and room service

This is not the first time, however, that Motel 6 has wiggled its way into the hearts and minds of indie rockers.  Who can forget Yo La Tengo's rockin' From A Motel 6? Watch the video after the jump.

  1. Bono flies home to the south of France on the U2 private jet after every gig. He admitted as much on that 60 minutes special.

  2. I’d love to see the details for this – it doesn’t seem to exist anywhere on the web aside from a reposted press release.
