iLike’s Ali Partovi: MySpace & Music’s Bright Future

On the eve of the big iLike/imeem/Google announcement this interview done a few weeks ago by DMW's Jay Baage with Ali Partovi, CEO & Co-Founder, iLike seems particularly worth sharing. Partovi talks about a new golden age for music, iLike's purachase by MySpace and where he thinks the partnership is headed.

  1. Hilarious how he doesn’t mention Facebook when talking about where fans are “telling their friends about” new music, considering iLike (his company) owes Facebook most of the credit for being the platform where fans told their friends who they liked
    Just a thought.

  2. I agree with Brendan, Facebook’s open platform is instrumental to viral success and user uptake of iLike. Didn’t Myspace (together with other Social sites) copy the News Feed originated by FB? Anyhoo, he will get millions from MySpace so why praise FB? right?
