MIDEM+ To Offer Premium Networking Experience

image from www.midem.comThe January 2010 edition of international music trade show MIDEM adds a new event, MIDEM+ dedicated to personalized networking where digital and music industry executives can hold one-on-one meetings with 40 experts from a range of fields including digital marketing, working with brands and funding.

Experts include Jon Cohen, pioneer in the area of relationships between music and major brands like Converse, Nike and Microsoft. Neil Cartwright, who was behind The Prodigy`s web campaign will answer digital marketing questions and two experts will share their knowledge of artist marketing: Matt Drouin, who helped Metric to sell 100,000+ units via their web-site in a month; and Emily White, who was behind the international success of the Dresden Dolls and others.

Cola) in an area reserved for MIDEM, participants will be welcomed by"connectors."  We'll be working as matchmakers to put participants in the hands of the right
business contacts.  (Please forgive me,  but I just had a flash of  Ted  dressed as one of the matchmakers in Fiddler On The Roof.)

"The idea is to offer tailor-made advice and a more individual approach.  MIDEM+ is aimed at MIDEM participants who want to build on their experience of the marketplace and go home with the kind of concrete advice that is indispensable for developing their own businesses," said Dominique Leguern, director of MIDEM.
