Pandora Hits Holiday High Thanks To Mobile
"Xmas day was twice as big as our previous high… Def a sign of the growing footprint of devices/mobile."
– A tweet from Pandora founder Tim Westergren early on Monday morning.
Less than two weeks ago the online music service announced that it had topped 40 million total registered users. Pandora says that it is adding 600,000 new registered users a week, 300,000 of whom are mobile — Pandora added a total of 20 million registered users across all platforms (home, PC and mobile devices) in 2009.
Congrats to them! They have definitely built a cult like following…all my older relatives always rant & rave bout how much they love Pandora.
Pandora is amazing, great service. Glad they made it through the bad times and are looking to be one of the top music companies of 2010.

These new services have really given people control over what they listen to. There is so much great music out there to be discovered and new music is created every day from artists around the world. I think there will be many more services created in the coming years to further help those searching for great music.
Pandora’s a very impressive streaming service. Its good to see it gaining popularity like this. Its one of the main services that is paving the way for how we listen to our music.
