When Will Digital Music Sales Surpass CD’s?

Earlier this week an eMarketer analysis concluded that 2010 was the year that digital music sales would surpass CD sales. A a new Forrester study (chart above) says that we'll have to wait until 2012.

Good news is,is that this wont matter squat since the planets supposed to blow up anyways in 2012…..*lol*…
My guess? When the multi level convergence of all media and the occurrence of timewave zero happens/unhappens during the next decade. Oh dear, when you open the doors of perception there’s no closing them…they’re just flapping in the wind.
It won’t happen. They are most likely both going to be overrun by the number of clicks that free online streams get – if they haven’t been overrun already. But the revenue stream from ad-supported streams still is unlikely to outperform the other two types of media, I guess.
