Another Classic Rocker Reborn Thanks To TV Ad
I'll admit Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" was one of my guilty pleasure songs. I knew I shouldn't like but… I really, really did. Now Ms. Tyler's throaty vocals make a comeback with her hit rewritten to honor a MasterCard shopper ("Turn around Neville.") in an even more excessively anthem rock style along with equally over the top visuals that include a rollerblading chorus, pyrotechnics, flowers dropped from a helicopter, a jetpack flying, straight out o' 80's MTV guitarist and so much more. To my mind, the only thing missing is – and this is a test of your 80's music knowledge – a baby's arm holding an apple.
Thanks for making my day with that reference! I’m a huge Tubes fan and they are one of the most under appreciated bands I can think of, not to mention a slew of great album covers. What Do You Want From Life? (I would take Bob Dylan’s new unlisted phone number)
