SoundExchange Payments Jump 25%

SoundExchange sent out checks for nearly $52 million to artists and rights holders in the first quarter of 2010 marking a 25% increase from any previous quarter.

image from sonicblog.sonicbids.comThe jump was came from an increase in satellite radio subscriptions caused by rising car sales, more radio stations streaming online, and the growth of Pandora and similar online music services, according to John L. Simson, the executive director of SoundExchange.

  1. John L Simson,needs to do a better job of organizing the office staff..They have treated me and three other artist just like the record compamy. Lets just say I don’t have a tail..They can never tell you when to expect a check..If you call they have info that you can hold onto…its awful
