Spotify Loses Another Top Executive
(UPDATE) SVP of Stretegic Partnerships Paul Brown is exiting Spotify. He joined the company just 18 months ago as head of the U.K. office and and had been promoted to SVP earlier this year.
Just a few days ago, chief designer and developer Rasmus Andersson left Spotify for a position at Facebook. Rasmus had been with the streaming music service since pre-launch in 2006 and his move may signal a renewed interest in music by Facebook.
On the Brown departure, the company said in a statement: "Paul is leaving Spotify at the end of the summer to join a start up outside of the music space. We would like to thank him for all his great work and wish him the very best in his future endeavours." Brown will reportedly remain a consultant for Topspin, as well as, take a new position at a yet unnamed startup.
