  1. I’m not sure basing it on SEARCH results provides the most accurate data. I researched all the Top 5 before buying Ableton.

  2. Wow, Fl studio is more popular than Cubase and Sonar? That’s remarkable, but not too surprising anyways.
FL studio is a great software, but the company — Not so much.

  3. Surprised by the results, I tested before FL Studio demo version and has realy nice workflow, is super quality software and I was tempted of buy it, but im not sure if is good in the side of using external synths and I Stopped the idea…

  4. Fl studio is probably the quickest way to lay down your music/song ideas. I really like FL studio’s user interface, because it really gets you in the mood to lay something down.

  5. I used to work for Cakewalk so my opinion may be biased, but I always found Clarke’s most popular list a Joke. Seriously based on “search results”? It could be just as likely for a program that is buggy to have high search results, for example “Cubase Crashed” or “Pro Tools Caused a fatal exception”
And I know for a fact that FL Studio ranks so highly because it is so widely pirated. “FL Studio torrent” is probably driving that number up.
@Matt & @Chris Propellerheads record is a good product, but not taken seriously by professionals because it is a closed system (no external plug-ins), that would explain why you don’t see it there.

  6. +1 with Liz.
This should be retitled as: “The Top 15 Most Popular Recording Software Searches”

  7. shit, I cant understand the fukng Top, i still using Nuendo cause FL is really slow with external synths, Image line are not intended for real studios, silly company cause they have nicely virtual workflow

  8. I CANT IMAGINE FLSTUDIOS FOR USE ALL MY SYNTHESIZERS!!!! YEAH SURE MAYBE IN DREAMS THIS TOP15 IS MAYBE MANIPULATED, OFCOURSE PRO TOOLS IS THE BEST, IN SECOND PLACE CUBASE, LOGIC, NUENDO, ABLETON, DIGITAL PERFORMER, AND AFTER ALL THE OTHERS! THE CONFIGURATION OF ALL CC FROM 20 SYNTHS IN A STUPID MIDI OUT KNOBS IS SOMETHING WHAT I NEVER WANT DO! NEVER! PROBABLY PIRACY IS WHAT KEEP IN TOP TO FLSTUDIOS
