Apple’s iTunes Adds Social Playlists To Ping

image from cdn.erictric.com Slowly but surely Apple's Ping social network is adding features that make it more usable and worthwhile. On Friday Ping added social playlists wherin users can share iTunes playlists within their Ping profile and collaborate on them with friends.

No software upgrade is needed to use the new feature. When users click the arrow icon on a playlist in the iTunes sidebar, a new "Publish Playlist" option appears. Users can name the published playlists and drag songs itno it with their mouse.

Playlists are limited to 100 songs and Apple verifies that each is for sale on iTunes, then drops it from the playlist if it isn't.
