mSpot Launches Combined Cloud Music Locker, Streaming Radio

image from www.google.com With Google, Amazon and likely Apple getting into the cloud music business, mobile music provider mSpot might have a hard time competing.  So today the upstart launched Radio Spotter Beta – the first service to combine a cloud music and storage locker service with streaming radio. Radio Spotter is available Android users in the US. The company says that iPhone, PC, Mac and other internet connected device support will be offered later in 2011.


In addition to the cloud music locker, Radio Spotter offers two new features based on metadata in the users music collection:

  • the ability to match the songs from a personal online music collections, to similar music playing on hundreds of net radio stations
  • the ability to select Internet radio stations based on music genres or the users own artist searches.
