Official.fm Lands Sony RED For Digital Music Tech

image from www.google.com Digital technology platform official.fm has landed a deal with Sony owned RED Distribution to handle digital marketing and promotion for its distributed labels. The partnership provides a major foothold in the U.S. for the Geneva based company which recently raised $8 million in funding. Official.fm says they'll be adding monetization options and a desktop track manager later this summer to a music tech toolkit that can also serve d.i.y. musicians

official.fm existing users include Soulja Boy, Fool's Gold Records, Kitsuné Maison, Definitive Jux, Fox Searchlight, Mediamatters.org, Scion Audio/Visual, Akai Professional and Diesel:U:Music Japan.

RED's distributed labels include ATO, CBS, Cirque Du Soleil, Eleven Seven Music, FADER LABEL, Fat Possum, Glassnote, MRI (Megaforce), Nacional, New West, Razor & Tie, Rocket Science Ventures, Thirty Tigers and others.
