ConcertCrowd Turns Concert Discovery Into A Social Experience

Screen shot 2011-08-11 at 5.48.18 PM In the wake of RootMusic's Social Touring App for Bandpage launch, a new Facebook app has eased the discovery of concerts and fused it with a social experience. ConcertCrowd connects with a user’s Facebook page and helps discover upcoming shows of their favorite artists, as well as, recommendations based on how many of their own friends like a particular artist. The app also shows exactly which of a user’s friends like each artist and connects them to that artist's page, allowing them listen to their music, watch videos and ultimately to discover new artists.

ConcertCrowd does this by analyzing the user’s Facebook info and creates personalized concert listings based on their location and music preferences. Dedicated links allow the user to add the event to their Facebook calendar, and links to purchase tickets are provided if available.

Utilizing multiple APIs, the app allows users to customize their date and location settings so that they can view events in any city for any date, easing the planning process for when friends travel out of town, or when the user travels to other cities.

ConcertCrowd’s aim is to provide fans a better way to follow their favorite artists by ensuring they never miss a show in their hometown, as well as emphasizing the social aspect of the concert going experience. The app is free and available now at http://concertcrowd.com
