MeCanto Launches Robust Cloud Music Alternative

image from www.google.com Mecanto has launched as an affordable alternative cloud music storage locker and player. After a 1 month free trial, users pay $2 per month or $20 a year for unlimited music storage and streaming to a multitude of platforms.  Amazon and Apple offer simliar pricing, and Google is free for now, but none offers such robust features.

MeCanto enables music synchronization, management, and playback  using desktop, internet, and mobile technologies. According to the company, the service supports Symbian, Iphone, Android, Windows Mobile, and Blackberry, and integrates with social networks such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. It works with MP3, M4A, WMA, OGG and FLAC formats.

MeCanto recently won Nokia’s developer contest and was selected by Microsoft to present at their Think.Next event. Watch a demo:
