AM BRIEF: Amazon’s Big Day, Apple Shares 10/4, MOG Int’l Stalls, Cash Music, We7 Shifts & More

  • Amazon announces its tablet this morning at 10AM ET.  We "know" it's 7 inch, runs on a modified Android os and will stream video.  There's no mention of music…yet. Big questions: price and as Peter Kafka says, how will it help Amazon sell more stuff? We'll share details later this morning.
  • Apple sent invites to its fall event, which used to be about iPods, for Oct. 4th under the title "Let's talk iPhones".  Rumors: iPhone 5, Facebook iPad app, white iPod Touch. The iPod Shuffle and Classic may be on the way out.
  • MOG's international plans still stalled after 2 years of missed deadlines. (paidContent) Don;t blame MOG. Blame rightsholders and the lack of blanket licenses.
