Beastie Boys Double Crowdsource Their New Poster

Beastie-boys-poster-contest First the Beastie Boys turned to graphic design crowdsourcing site Creative Allies to design a post for their new single "Don't Play No Game That I Can’t Win (featuring Santigold)" and several hundred submitted artwork. Now the Beasties want you, YES, YOU!, to vote for the finalists in a crowdsourced poster contest. The winner gets $1000 and all the attention they can stand.

Creative Allies is also hosting the Beastie Boys Poster Design Contest. Six finalists have been chosen and you're invited to cast your vote on Facebook for your favorite. There's no clearly indicated deadline so, if you want to participate, I'd suggest jumping right in.

You can also listen to the single below courtesy of SoundCloud:

The single is from the Beastie Boys latest album Hot Sauce Committee Part 2. For a look at additional submissions, check out these Editor's Picks. Any artist or label can hold their own design contest for a poster, t-shirt, album cover, etc on Creative Allies.

  1. crowd-sourced graphic design is such a sad, inefficient model–multiple people working on the same project for free, only one gets paid. And the quality, in general, of free design is very low. It’s lose-lose. The Beastie Boys can afford a real graphic designer–they should hire one. I’m sure there are many real graphic designers who are BB fans.
