$12/Year? You can't run a business on that, and people will be pretty inelastic between $12/year to $3-5/month, they both when framed correctly sound cheap, but the latter makes a big difference to your bottom line, so long as your product doesn't suck resulting in a terrible retention rate.

Exactly. When the company JibJab changed their price from $9.99/yr to $1/month they actually skyrocketed in premium memberships (despite having a higher cost, there was a lower perceived commitment).
