Digital Distributor TuneCore Launches In Canada
Flat fee digital music subscription service Tunecore has launched in Canada. Distribution via the new site www.tunecore.ca is available exclusively to Canadian artists and priced at an annual flat fee of CDN$9.99 per single. For albums, artists can pay CDN$49.99 annually or CDN$4.99 a month.
The site features no currency conversion on domestic sales.
Hundreds of Canadian artists already use TuneCore, either via the U.S. site or the new Canadian site. The include elanie Doane, Drake (who distributed the single "Best I Ever Had" through TuneCore), Barenaked Ladies, Martha Wainwright, Joel Plaskett, Kate & Anna McGarrigle and David Usher (of Moist). Worldwide, TuneCore has more than 700,000 account holders.
Artists should also check out RouteNote as we are already worldwide! Free and Premium options, plus you can sell direct to fans.
Why go through TuneCore or RouteNote when you can go through Venzo Music for free? They let you sell music, music videos, and ringtones on iTunes all over the world! (http://music.venzodigital.com)
Why go through TuneCore, RouteNote, or VenzoMusic when you can just go through RandomNewStartupThatWillBeGoneInOneYear.com? Totally free free free!!!!
Why go through two layers of taxing middle-men when you can use Bandcamp?
It seems like RouteNote is poorly designed. Plus they seem to be a problem distributor for its users! It also looks like their completely ripping off TuneCore. I wouldn’t recommend using their service.
