Google has morphed it's App Store and Google Music brands into a new Google Play entertainment hub. "Now your favorite music, books, movies, apps, and games are all in one place that's accessible from the Web and any Android device." and of course shareable on Google+.

As with Google Music, on Play With Music users can browse tracks and share what they buy on Google+. Users can also still store up to 20,000 songs from their download library free and access it on any Android device or the web.

To "celebrate" Play With Music is offering select albums at 25 cents and dozens at $3.99 – $5.99.

  1. By consolidating their services into one cloud-based digital media service Google Play has created an Android cloud service like the IOS service of iTunes. Now Google has put themselves into a prominent position to compete with iTunes by providing a comparable user experience for all those Android users. I think it will be interesting to watch how things unfold over the near future and if Google can hold their own competing with iTunes.
