Mobile Backstage Grabs $1.3 Million Funding, Will Open San Francisco Office This Summer

image from engagement platform Mobile Backstage has closed a bridge funding round of $1.3 million USD. The company also announced plans to open an office this summer in San Francisco, in addition to its office in London and Helsinki headquarters.

Investors include Finnvera Ltd, the financing vehicle of the Finnish state, Miston Ltd, a privately owned investment company, management team members, as well as a group of angel investors. The company also named Johannes Milen as COO. He joins from one of Finland's largest corporations, Kesko.

In the past year, Mobile Backstage reports that it has generated over 4 million interactions and 100 million page views. The company has created fan clubs for artists including Jessie J., Tinie Tempah, The Kooks, Devlin and Lykke Li; and works on an on-going basis with all four major record labels, as well as many independent labels and management companies.
