Microsoft Says Goodbye Zune, Hello XBox Music

image from www.google.comAt a press conference today held just prior to the opening of the E3 gaming conference, Microsoft put the last nail in the Zune coffin with the launch of new Xbox based media services Xbox Music and Xbox Video apps for Windows 8.

Few details were shared during today's Los Angeles announcement, but Zune Music has been replaced by Xbox Music, which Microsoft says will feature 30 million+ tracks, The new music service will work across Microsoft Windows 8 PCs, mobile phone handsets, and the Xbox 360 console. 

A similar Xbox service was launched for video; and a new feature, SmartGlass, will allow users to mirror their content on PC's, tablets, smartphones and their television using the Xbox.
