Licenced lyrics service musiXmatch has launched a Spotify app that lets users discover music from the streamer catalog by searching songs by words and lyrics. A SyncNSing feature can also automatically show Spotify users the lyrics of the song they are listening to in real time.
The musicXmatch database licensed with major music publishers like Sony ATV, EMI Publishing, Universal Publishing, Bmg Rights, Kobalt Music and Harry Fox Agency. The lyrics service is also available on iPhone, Android, WP7 and Symbian and on desktop Mac and Windows 8.
By searching “google” users get a playlist with all tracks having “Google” in their lyrics, here an example http://spoti.fi/IxclzR or by searching “Amsterdam” users get a playlist with most of the track talking about Amsterdam http://spoti.fi/IxcCTl.
