Bandwidth Conference Kicks Off Next Week In Portland, Oregon

6a00d83451b36c69e201676896fa0f970b-800wiNext week in Portland, Oregon, the Bandwidth music and technology conference kicks off for its annual event discussing the evolving music space, bringing in top minds in the field from Sony Network Entertainment, Beatport, Warner Music Group, YouTube, and more (updated list of attending companies below). Closed discussion sessions revolve around how people discover, purchase, interact with, and are exposed to new music – with a focus on marketing, fan behavior, current trends, and future forecasts.

Attendees must apply to be invited, and the event is held a bit differently than most music conferences in that no traditional panels take place. Sessions occur in boardrooms and are kept small to encourage collaborative discussion and networking. Interestingly enough, this year’s Bandwidth conference will be a no-press event. This is in hopes to encourage even more open discussion amongst attendees and speakers, and attendees are also asked to not tweet, post or blog about session details and comments.

Professionals in new media, marketing, new products, digital music and fan-to-consumer will benefit highly from Bandwidth by discussing innovative ways consumers discover and interact with music and artists, along with technological shifts that impact the industry. In addition, the "Fast Forward" sessions will provide insight into the long-range shape of the industry, and the future agents that one would need to consider when planning strategies moving forward.
