Digital Music Forum West Kicks Off In LA This Week

DmfwThe 9th annual Digital Music Forum West
conference is set to take place this week from The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood,
CA on Wednesday October 3rd and Thursday October 4th. The
event offers two days of panel discussions, networking and brainstorming about
the future of the music business – specifically how digital media and
technology continue to impact how the business evolves.


The conference draws together hundreds of music and digital
media professionals from all around the country with confirmed speakers from
Topspin, Chirpify, Tumblr, Atom Factory, StageIt, ThrillCall, SoundExchange,
BMI, Warner Bros Records, Sony Music, Slacker, Clear Channel, Google, Red Light
Management, Universal Music Group, BandPage and many more. Jeff Price, founder
and former CEO of TuneCore, will also be speaking at DMFW.

Panel topics and presentations include discussions about
YouTube and it’s benefit (or detriment) to the music business, new and emerging
music-tech trends around technologies for the artist or interactive fan
experience, the rise of image-based communication, copyrights and music
startups, women in music, digital distribution, and much more. 

Digital Music Forum West takes place this Wednesday and Thursday at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA.
