Veteran music executive Larry Miller has been named
Executive Vice President and General Manager of MediaNet, the B2B provider of global licensed digital music and related data to apps, subscription services and download stores.
Miller will be responsible for new service innovation,
partner acquisition, and revenue growth for the company, Miller has over 25 years of music industry
experience as founder of record label and publisher Or Music (now owned by Sony, and most recently as an adviser to MakeMusic, developers
of Finale music notation software.
“It is amazing to think that back in 1999, a2b music showcased about 5 songs that could be downloaded. Now MediaNet offers over 25 million tracks worldwide, and can handle everything from licensing, metadata, and royalty payments, to customer transaction processing and subscription information,” said Miller.
