Sony/ATV's Rosetta Publishing catalog is going under the hammer as part of its divestment to appease regulators for the $2.2 billion purchase of EMI Music Publishing. The catalog includes hits by Culture Club, Devo, and many more '80s stars.
- The legal battle between Prince Royce and his label Top Star Music (TSM) intensified this week with the Bronx songwriter countersuing and claiming that TSM has not properly accounted both recording and publishing royalties.
- Fans of baseball and The Who can rejoice in news that Spirit Music has inked a deal with Fox Sports to play many of the British band's biggest hits during broadcast of the World Series.
- Former EMI Publishing executive Ben Vaughn has been appointed EVP of Warner/Chappell Nashville.
