IC Virtual Music Conference and Expo Demo

IC Virtual Music Conference & Expo 2013 , organized by Indie Connect, takes place January 15 through 17 and will cost attendees $97 with a limited time early registration of $47 through December 15. All sessions will be archived and available for 30 days after the conference.

Speakers such as Ariel Hyatt, Madalyn Sklar, Brian Thompson and Bob Baker are confirmed with more on the way. Special sessions will include "All About Nashville" and speakers from the Christian music industry. If you're an "established industry expert" scroll to the bottom of the Speakers page for info on presenting.

The conference will be run on the Expos2 platform and you can get an introductory look in the video above. In addition to a variety of taped and live presentations, communication options will include:

  • Exchange v-cards (virtual business cards)
  • Group chats throughout the event
  • One on one video chats
  • Confidential internal email
  • Q&A with live speakers

There's still time to get involved beyond just attending or presenting with such opportunities as artist showcases, sponsorships, a virtual trade show and press passes. Check the respective pages for pricing.

Sounds like an interesting and varied event that will be a good test case for the viability of interactive online music conferences.

*Note: Possible delay of registration til November 12. To be updated accordingly.
