This is a great Talk Amanda's words at the end are very similar to Peter Sunde's of Flattr and The Pirate Bay, pretty rad. http://blog.flattr.net/2013/02/tpb-afk-and-why-i-started-flattr/

Ophelia Millais

As an artist, and as a human being, I'm inspired by her presentation. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was.

Of course, cynics are saying she's just putting on a performance and backpedaling from her contrition over asking people to join her on stage. Nothing will change the minds of those who have already decided they hate her for whatever reason.

Whatever; they're a broken record, unable to put money 2nd, and she's a breath of fresh air, thoughtful and thrilled to pieces to really connect with people.

My only complaint is that if they just gave me $1.1 million, I suppose I, too would find it easy to say ~25,000 fans are "enough". :)
