image from www.musicrow.comLast week, based Artist Growth completed it's Series A funding round rasing $2 million. The investors all come from Nashville's growing VC community including former label exec Joe Galante, Mark Montgomery, co-founder of echomusic; Glaser Intrument's Joe Glaser, VC Harry Jacobson, and John Curtis, CEO of Quotient Solutions. Today, Artist Growth also announced a complete redesign of it's core musician management software.

"AG 2.0 has been built so both independent artists and major management companies can use the system," said Artist Growth Co-Founder and CEO Matt Urmy. :This, along with our integrated APIs, opens doors to some very exciting possibilities for future business models in the industry."

Artist Growth claims 10,000 active users including major touring acts such as Kings of Leon, Emmylou Harris and Ke$sha; along with Ken Levitan's growing management powerhouse Vector.

Streamlining Health Care & Live Performance Reports

AG’s 2.0 system will integrate Artist Growth’s partnerships in one place. Two of the first are:

  • BMI – AG and BMI users can now easily register their setlists for live performance royalties. Artist Growth has a similar tie-in with ASCAP.
  • Sound Healthcare – Artist Growth is the first music tech company to provide a health benefits program, and through SH, will help artists in participating states gain access to affordable health care and insurance, as well as benefit from advocacy in navigating the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
