Presskit.to’s Press Kits For Musicians Now Embeddable, Boutique Services Added [Updated]

Presskitto-karminPresskit.to launched last year offering a hosted web app to create one or more electronic press kits for your band or for special events and releases. They recently announced the first of what they say are a series of upgrades including the ability to embed press kits on other sites. In addition, they've added boutique services for those wanting help from writing bios to press kit management.

[Update: Towards the end of the post I mentioned some future plans for Presskit.to. They have since announced the release of a Facebook App, to add your presskit to your band page, and an integration with Songkick, to make updating the events section a lot easier.]

Presskit.to's web-based press kits are designed to include a wide range of relevant content in one web app. The Karmin press kit illustrates the possiblities including:

Media – SoundCloud, YouTube, pics

About – Bio, Members, Press Coverage, Links

Contact Information

Calendar

Plus, Presskit.to's press kits use responsive design which means they easily adjust to any size screen from desktop to mobile device.

Pricing starts at free and the features include everything you'd want in an EPK that might also interest fans and casual surfers.

New and Upgraded Features

Recently Presskit.to announced a series of tweaks and upgrades including, most importantly, the ability to embed the web app on any site that accepts HTML:

"Embed your Presskit directly on your website’s Press page or create a Press tab on Facebook."

"People can stay on your site while having full access to the contents of your ‘kit."

"All future updates that you make to your Presskit will automatically show up on your embedded Presskits."

Though Presskit.to still hosts a dedicated page for your press kit, you can now use Presskit.to to do such things as maintain an easily updatable press section on your own site and on Facebook.

Further Updates Ahead

Presskit.to also mentions that there are more updates to follow later this summer. One such update teased in the announcement is a calendar integration with Songkick which adds to the easy updating factor.

In addition, Presskit.to recently introduced Boutique Services from creating your presskit to designing a logo to creating a pitch for the press.

This is a good sign from Presskit.to that they're committed to needed development to make both their press kits and services fit the needs of working musicians.

  2. Big fan of the platform, super friendly and helpful team as well! Aidan really helped get my artist’s press kit up and running. Highly recommend Presskit.to!

  3. I am a huge fan of this platform! The product really is simple and concise allowing artists to give a well rounded picture of they are and what they do in an easy to digest format. The team is incredibly friendly and helpful as well; Aidan worked with me every step of the way to building an EPK on the site for my client and I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Presskit.to is absolutely the best platform for a musician / band’s EPK in my opinion and without a doubt has been a wonderful asset for me. I highly recommend it to any indie artist who wants an all-encompassing EPK that doesn’t have the bulk of of other services.
