CHANGES @ Crush Music, Capital Music Group, Universal Music and Warner Nashville & Music Biz

  • image from www.crushmusic.comLyssa Thompson has joined Crush Music as in-house publicist. Thompson has worked in PR for almost a decade at Girlie Action, Blake Zidell & Associates and most recently at indie label Secretly Canadian.
  • Geoff Harris, a financial exec previously at Universal Music UK, has been named Capitol Music Group's new CFO. He will be relocating from London to LA.  

  • Warner Music Nashville (WMN), has appointed Kevin Herring as SVP Promotion, and Kristen Williams as Vice President. Herring will head all of WMG's country promotion divisions, which include Atlantic, Elektra, and Warner Bros. He replaces Chris Stacey who is leaving the company.
  • The Music Business Association (Music Biz), formerly NARM and digitalmusic.org, has added Fred Beteille, Product Manager at YouTube, to its Board of Directors. This addition expands the Music Biz Board to 19 members representing different parts of the spectrum of music commerce, including physical and digital as well as content companies.
