Kickstarter Hacked, Change Your Passwords

Usernames, passwords, mailing addresses, e-mail addresses and phone numbers had been compromised by hackers, but no credit card information had been stolen, according to the world's largest crowdfunding site.  The breach is massive in scope: 5.6 million people have back 56,320 successful Kickstarter projects.

"On Wednesday night, law enforcement officials contacted Kickstarter and alerted us that hackers had sought and gained unauthorized access to some of our customers' data," the company send in a blog post.  "As a image from topnews.net.nzprecaution, we strongly recommend that you create a new password for your Kickstarter account, and other accounts where you use this password."

"We’re incredibly sorry that this happened. We set a very high bar for how we serve our community, and this incident is frustrating and upsetting. We have since improved our security procedures and systems in numerous ways, and we will continue to do so in the weeks and months to come. We are working closely with law enforcement, and we are doing everything in our power to prevent this from happening again."

    crook trying to make things harder for us artists and independent recording label.Kick Stater is the only help or source who will provides finance for our start up project.Let’s hope things will return to normal at Kick Starter and will be govern closely.
