Vector and Proper Artist Management Firms Merge

image from www.celebrityaccess.comTwo management companies, Vector Management and Proper Artist Management, are merging to a combined entity that will operate under the Vector Management name. London-based Proper Artist Management, helmed by Peter Rudge, who, prior to the launch of Proper, was a senior executive at Octagon Music. Over the course of his career, he has managed or co-managed artists including The Rolling Stones, Diana Ross, The Who and Lynyrd Skynrd among others.

Led by Jack Rovner, a former president of RCA Records and Ken Levitan, also a former RCA Records alumnus, Vector Management maintains offices in New York, London, Los Angeles and Nashville. Their current client roster includes The Black Angels, The B-52s, The Fray, Peter Frampton, and Emmylou Harris among others.

Both Vector and Proper Artist Management are affiliated with Live Nation's management division Artist Nation, as will the post-merger Vector.

“Peter is one of the all time greats whom I’m honored to have known for over 30 years. We are thrilled to be working with him and his team,” said Rovner.

“Vector has always been a globally minded management company,” adds Levitan. “By partnering with Proper, we are excited to bring even more international opportunities to our artists.”

“We are excited to be joining forces with Ken, Jack and the Vector team and adding to their experience, wide ranging assets and infrastructure,” said Rudge. “In an industry where management companies are required to provide greater expertise in all areas of the business, Vector can now confidently offer existing and new clients a global footprint that is second to none. Management can be a lonely game but finally after many years, I feel we’ve found a home.”
