A Race To The Bottom? Spotify Adds Territory, Offers Premium Subs For $3

Spotify today launched in the Philippines with its usual free music offering.  But instead of $5 – $10 or more, Spotify Premium costs just  PHP129 or $3 USD. n Malaysia, it costs RM14.90 ($4.60). If that's not cheap enough, Spotify has inked a deal with carrier Globe Telecom to offer its 38 million prepaid subscribers free access to Spotify through a new data plan which costs just 20 cents per day, according to The Next Web. That deal launches April 13.
