  1. it’s more of a reflection of what people are “listening” to under circumstances that are beyond their control, like when they’re in a store or restaurant. they weren’t intentionally listening to coldplay or they wouldn’t be using shazam, now would they? 🙂

  2. Of course they would. I Shazam many songs that I play myself. I used it like last.fm before I knew about last.fm. And it also gives great info about the artist, lyrics and etc.
