InternshipThere is no substitute for hard work. As a twenty-something in the workforce, I am well aware that my generation has a bad reputation when it comes to entitlement. This false sense of entitlement plagues our society – and while there's a fine line between taking an opportunity and being taken advantage, you've got to learn to know where to pay your dues. Some of the best opportunities are the ones we never see coming – the ones that don't necessarily pay the bills at first but up their value ten-fold in experience down the road. Internships have that capacity – in most cases, you get what you give.

If you approach the work that you do every day with the desire to exceed your own expectations, the possibilities are endless… but if you enter that same workspace wondering why the answers weren't handed to you on a silver platter, you're going to get sidelined… fast.
