Nononononononono. Let me repeat, hell to the fuck no. You use Reddit as a marketing tool, even if you know the rules and respect the community, you will be so flamed by the base so badly that your ass will feel phantom burn marks a decade later. Do not attempt to market yourself on Reddit. Let others spread the word for you.

If anything, let your publicist contact Reddit to set up an AMA. But do not *ever* think you can self-promote on Reddit, even in the most casual manner, without being called out on your bullshit.

Have I mentioned that you should never market yourself on Reddit? In case that didn't sink in the first few times, let me repeat: DO NOT MARKET YOURSELF ON REDDIT.

Just focus on making shit so great that redditors can't help but talk about how great you are.
