Laura Creed, of Superfi has done quite a bit of research into the resurgence of vinyl, it's popularity, and what it could mean for today's music industry. The proof is in the infographic – today's average consumer is choosing digital, but the case is far from closed for vinyl records. There is an increase in trend, and it's more than just hipsters flaunting their trendy music.

  1. It seems as if a space for vinyl is very much alive and kickin… I’ve seen other similar information that supports such findings. I’d be interested if anyone knows what percentage of the increasing vinyl sales is credited to independent record stores versus say, online, big-box, or non-traditional music retail.
