Fender Accelerator Tour Launches Providing Emerging Artists With Transportation, Gear, And Promo Support

Fender-Logo-DesignFender is removing the headache and hassle of touring on an emerging artist's budget by providing musicians with gear, transportation, and tour support as part of it's newly launched Fender Accelerator Tour.

The Fender Accelerator Tour, underway now through June, is comprised of a unique mix of musicians throughout the US and Canada. Night Terrors of 1927PrioryMatthew CurryMarmozets, Deap Vally and Waters are a part of the diverse collection of musicians with additional artists to be announced.

Each band on tour will receive tour support including a customized 15-passenger touring van, promotional and marketing support, and Fender gear, including electric and acoustic guitars, basses, amps and accessories. In addition, Fender will pick up the tab for fuel and vehicle maintenance on the road.

"Fender has a rich mix of musicians on our team and we understand the challenges of touring first hand," said Richard McDonald, Executive Vice President, Fender Brand. "It's such a dynamic time in a band's professional journey and you are usually ready to hit the road before you have all the pieces in place. The Fender Accelerator Tour takes some of that pressure off these amazing bands and gets them on the road, in front of their audiences. We are pumped to be able to offer support to these talented artists so they can focus on what really matters, the music!"

_2136893For longtime Fender fan, Brandon Rush of the band Priory, being a Fender artist is a dream come true: "We grew up playing Fender guitars," said Rush. "Our 12-year-old selves are freaking out right now. We are floored out of our minds to be Fender artists and part of the Fender Accelerator Tour in 2015."

Following the emerging artists on their journey, the Fender Accelerator Tour will be documented by GoPro cameras set to capture behind the scenes footage on stage and on the road. The exclusive content will be shared by the touring artists across their social media platforms using the hashtag #FENDERXLR8R as well as Fender's owned media channels, reaching up to an additional 5 million viewers a month.

The Fender Accelerator Tour was created and developed in partnership with CAA Marketing, a division of Creative Artists Agency, and in collaboration with production partner NCompass. For more information, visit www.fender.com.
