Grammy Ratings Slip Slightly

Grammy_logoEven with a move to Monday night to avoid Valentine's Day, 2016 Grammy viewing only slipped a little, holding almost dead even with 2015 ratings. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the CBS live broadcast of the awards show posted a 16.1 overnight rating among Nielsen's metered market households Monday night, off from last year's a 16.7 overnight rating.

Taylor swiftThe Grammys did slide in one key area, with the 2016 edition of the awards show down roughly 8 percent over the 2015 telecast's average 8.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 25.3 million viewers.

Overall, the Grammys took the top spot for entertainment telecast in the admittedly brief 2016 thus far. 

Flat ratings or not, the Grammy's did provide a boost pushing up streams on Pandora and Spotify, though elevated very different artists.
