Obama On Post-Election Plans: “I’m waiting for my job at Spotify”
As President Obama ends his 8 years in office, he's hinted that he'll be working to rebuild the Democratic party, bringing more millennials into the fold as activists and candidates. But at a White House event for outgoing U.S. ambassadors, he jokingly shared his aspirations to get a job creating playlists for Spotify.
At a White House reception this week, U.S. Swedish ambassador Mark Brzezinski and wife, podcast host and writer Natalia Brzezinski, shared a priceless private moment with outgoing President Obama.
"I loved visiting you in Stockholm, it was my favorite trip. I plan to go back there really soon… I'm still waiting for my job at Spotify… Cuz' I know y'all loved my playlist."
"I am still swooning," declared Mrs. Brzezinski on Instagram. And as my own wife is fond of saying, "we may never have a president or first lady as cool or with a great (musical) taste as the Obama's."
Tonight President Obama invited all of the Ambassadors he personally chose to an intimate reception at the White House. I finally got the chance to thank him for the life-changing appointment to Sweden. He said word for word: "I loved visiting you in Stockholm, it was my favorite trip. I plan to go back there really soon." I told him I have the perfect opportunity for him to come visit and he told me "to send him the details on Brilliant Minds." He also declared– "I'm still waiting for my job at Spotify… Cuz' I know y'all loved my playlist." I am still swooning. ???????????????????? @barackobama @whitehouse ❤️. @symposiumsthlm So proud of Mark for serving this historic President with all his heart!! ????????????????
During his two terms the President posted several popular Spotify playlists including the one for Summer.
