While music download sales are clearly on the decline, don't count them out yet. According to a survey of 10,000 consumers by PayPal and SuperData, iTunes, is still the most popular music platform in the US, beating Spotify and Pandora.
More surprising facts from the survey:
- 86% of music consumers listen on their smartphones, making it by far the most popular device
- 70% of older listeners download (versus 51% who pay to stream), while 60% of Millennials do
