This year, Irish rockers U2 unseated last year's champion Adele to be the most sought after ticket for 2017, beating out number 2 Ed Sheeran by 65% even with fewer than half as many shows in the summer months (13 vs. 32), and exceeds Adele 2016 stats, by 15%, despite offering eight fewer shows, according to secondary ticket Stub Hub.

However, U2 can't rest on their laurels. According to StubHub, there are challengers moving up the list. When tickets for Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. tour went on sale April 28, searches on StubHub quadrupled from the day before and he shot into the top 10 selling summer acts in one week, the company said.

Other notable entries include Justin Bieber, the only returning artist from the 2016 list, whose tickets were the least expensive of the top 10. Roger Waters had the most shows of any of the top ten acts, with 34 shows, 2 ahead of Ed Sheeran, who has 32 concerts lined up this summer.

StubHub's data also tabulated the most sought-after music festivals for this summer, with the CMA Music Festival topping the list. Bottle Rock and Lollapalooza rounded out the top three, with the Classic East and The Classic West rounding out the top 5.
