It’s Now Easier To Understand Why YouTube Stopped Paying You Or Ban You All Together

image from i.ytimg.comIf a creator breaks the rules, YouTube will stop monetizing their content or in extreme cases band them from the platform altogether.  To make the process of punishment, YouTube has simplified its "strike" system and created a rather perky video to explain it.

New YouTube Strike System Policies

  • The first strike will result in a one-week freeze on the ability to upload any new content to YouTube, including live streaming, and other channel activities. Strikes will expire after 90 days.
  • The second strike in any 90-day period will result in a two-week freeze on the ability to upload any new content to YouTube.
  • The third strike in any 90-day period will result in channel termination.
